வரலாற்று நாயகன் மெஸ்ஸி மற்றும் அர்ஜென்டினாவின் திரில் வெற்றி!

அர்ஜென்டினா அணி 2026 ஃபிஃபா உலகக்கோப்பை (FIFA World Cup) குரூப் J பிரிவின் ஆட்டத்தில் ஆஸ்திரியாவை 2-0 என்ற கோல் கணக்கில் வீழ்த்தி வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளது. டெக்சாஸின் டல்லாஸ் மைதானத்தில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த ஆட்டத்தில் லியோனல் மெஸ்ஸி வரலாற்றுச் சாதனை ஒன்றைப் படைத்தார்.

Argentina defeated Austria 1-0 in their Group J match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Dallas Stadium, courtesy of a record-breaking performance from talisman Lionel Messi. 

1. Messi's Early Penalty Miss

Argentina had a golden opportunity to take an early lead in the 7th minute when a VAR review awarded them a penalty. However, in the 8th minute, Lionel Messi surprisingly missed the spot-kick, keeping the scoreline balanced. 

2. The Historic Record-Breaking Goal

Messi quickly redeemed himself from the penalty heartbreak. In the 38th minute, after a slick counter-attack, Medina delivered a perfect cross from the left which Messi neatly converted to score the only goal of the match. 

With this strike, Lionel Messi officially became the all-time leading goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history with 17 goals, surpassing the legendary German striker Miroslav Klose's record of 16 goals. 

3. Messi's Late Winner in the Closing MinutesWith just minutes remaining on the clock, Austria pushed high up the pitch in a desperate search for an equalizer. However, this left them vulnerable at the back, and Argentina capitalized with a swift counter-attack in the 89th minute. After receiving a clinical pass from a substitute teammate, Lionel Messi brilliantly dribbled past two Austrian defenders and calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.This spectacular goal in the 89th minute put the game completely out of Austria's reach, securing a final 2-0 victory for Argentina. With this second goal of the match, Messi extended his historic World Cup tally to an incredible 18 goals!
